The Marketplace is the one spot on VF where ashes really come in handy! This is where you can by special cats in the Admin Shop, or buy avatars, signatures, and other goods from various VF members. This is also the place to set up your stores and earn ashes.

HOW-TO

• Buy: Reply to the main thread, and follow their guidelines. Typically, all that's required is a basic request or description of what you want.
  
• Sell: Open your shop; you can set your own prices and guidelines. Once someone asks to buy something, alert a staff member. They will be the ones to deduct the ashes and add them to your account. Simply give them what they askes for, and be on your way.
  Note: Guidelines include the request form and the order in which the transaction occurs. Will you give them the merchandise first, or do they have to pay first? Either way, it is the staff member's responsibility to exchange ashes, so make sure they are aware of your plans.

RULES

• You do not need to ask permission to open a shop, but Admin and Staff reserve the right to close or lock your shop if there is any concern.
  
• You can sell basically anything so long as it is not a rank or pelt/eye color. Avatars, siggies, even poems or drawings, if you like. Obviously, nothing rated R. Also, this is not eBay. Do not put up an ad for your massive collection of Justin Bieber posters and expect real American dollars.
  
• If we receive complaints about your store, we will talk to you. Small complaints such as excessive prices will result in a mere suggestion; large complaints such as never delivering merchandise could result in your store being closed.

OTHER WAYS TO GET ASHES

• Roleplay -- each post awards you one ash
  
• Karma -- each piece of karma is worth two ashes
  
• Activity Checks -- posting earns you three ashes
  
• MOTM -- being awarded the title earns you ten ashes
  
• Contests -- though currently nonexistant, future contests could result in ash prizes.
