Kinda like if ya have 5 posts you get a roleplay point. Then you cash in a roleplay point to make your cat stronger or faster or better than it was before or something like that. ^^
And instead of calling them Roleplay points we can call 'em Ashes... This is good for the roleplay, riiiiiight?

Hmm... I think I understand. That's actually not a bad idea, to gain activity. I think I've heard of something like that on other websites, people use Karma or whatever as currency, so they can buy things... Maybe we could set up a sort of shop, like the one Lighty has, but with a variety of things that people can buy (like the avatars and such, and things like you suggested with strength and speed, etc.) for credits - ashes, as you called them.
Ashes - I like that. We can certainly discuss it. I think its a very good idea. (=

I rather like it too. I am on several sites with some sort of currency, and its usually extremely popular. While the shop would be mildly limited due to this being a cat rp instead of human, I'm sure you could come up with enough to make it worthwhile.

You are, Molteh, you are. *grins* I'm not sure about stronger/faster/better...avatars are good, but what about if we had items? What if, say, you have twenty roleplay points, then you can buy a ribbon for your cat to wear or something?

Unnatural claws- 50 ashes. These claws are made of dog teeth.
Bow- 7 ashes. Just a little bow. ^^
Spiked collar- 5 ashes. Just like Bloodclan's collars.

Hmm... maybe we can make virtural cats that you can adopt (like some of the images they have on warriors wish... sprites?), and then you can buy stuff for them... accesories, like. Yeah, like the bows and claws and hats and all that jazz. I wonder how we could do that... how hard it would be...

XD The virtual kitties seem cool...I could probably do it, but I'd need a base for 'em.  I can't draw cats worth beans. If anyone could find like, a black and white outline of a cat, I might be able to work something out. |

Didn't read thru all of what y'all wrote, but it sounds cool to me. Virtual kitties, ribbons, avies, siggies ... what if we also did, like personal ... status? I mean, like, instead of just "warrior" or "staff" or "member," what if whoever reaches a certain number of points first gets to have their own status of some sort? Just a thought....

I'm reviving this. Because I feel like it. And you can't stop me!!!! Unless you, y'know, ignore me. That might work. Anyway, I still am really fond of this idea. I've found before codes that automatically add currency based on number of posts, and once we get more members and potentially revive MotM and such, we can manually put those in. Darkie and I tried something like this on Arete, and I liked it there. You know how there are "impossible cats" like pure black cats with blue eyes or male calicos/tortoiseshells and such? You could use Ashes to buy those, and maybe kits, loners, kittypets, etc. It would take a while to get enough Ashes to buy them, but that would encourage posting. I, personally, was saving up to buy a Siamese cat. We set up an Admin Store for this, with the idea that other members could set up their own "shops" where they sold avvies and siggies and such.
