Ceremony Words
These are the words to the ceremonies that are used by the cats who believe in StarClan.
((These were taken from the Warriors series and belong to Erin Hunter and Harper Collins Publishers.))
Becoming an Apprentice
Leader: ____kit, from now on you will be known as ___paw. (Mentor's name) you are (compliment mentor here). You will be mentor to ___paw. (Name reasons for choosing the mentor her.)
[The Apprentice and the mentor will touch noses, and then the Clan will chant the new apprentice's name.]
Becoming a Warrior
Leader: I, ___star, leader of ____Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. ____paw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?
Apprentice: I do
Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name: ____paw, from this moment on you will be known as (warrior name). StarClan honors your _______ and your _______, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ___Clan.
[The leader will rest his muzzle on the top of the new warrior's head, and the new warrior will lick the leader's shoulder. Then the Clan will chant the new warrior's name.]
Becoming a Deputy
Leader: I say these words before (the body of {dead deputy's name} OR StarClan), (so that his/her spirit OR that the spirits of our ancestors) may hear and approve my choice. (New deputy's name) will be the new deputy of ____Clan.
Becoming a Leader
StarClan: Welcome (Deputy's name). Are you ready to receive your nine lives?
Deputy: Yes, I'm ready
StarClan cat: With this life I give you (good trait). Use it well ______. [Repeat eight more times with different traits.]
StarClan cat: I hail you by your new name, ____Star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of ____Clan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.
[StarClan will chant the new leader's name.]
Becoming a Medicine Cat Apprentice
Medicine Cat: ____paw, are you ready?
Apprentice: Yes
Medicine Cat: ____paw, is it your wish to enter into the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?
Apprentice: It is
Medicine Cat: Then come forward. [The apprentice will stand in front of the Medicine Cat.] Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. He/she has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant him your wisdom and insight so that he may understand your ways and heal his Clan in accordance with your will.
[The cats will climb into the tree branches, and the apprentice will have a dream in which he/she meets StarClan cats.]

Medicine Cat: I,(Medicine Cat), medicine cat of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help he/she will serve his/her Clan for many moons.
___paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?

Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. ___paw, from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your ___ and your ___. [The Medicine Cats present will chant the new Medicine Cat's name.]
Becoming an Elder
Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?
Warrior: It is
Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest.
Name Changing Ceremony
Leader: Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by a name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what she/he is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with my approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment she/he will be known as (New warrior name, then explanation for giving the name.)[The cats will chant the new name.]
Calling a Clan meeting
Leader: Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the (Name of the leader's podium) for a Clan meeting!
