ooc;; Honestly? I don't like Fang. Because he's not really beatable. With no healer in the camp and only us even posting, there's no way we can let Molten kill any of us, but we've established that if we fight, cats will die. So I'm not positive, but it kinda sounds like a lose-lose-lose-lose situation? I don't know. Short posts and ... idk. WE NEED TO GET THE PHANTOM PLOT GOING. Seriously, people. And I know. I didn't post. I will ... later. Sorry; I'm kinda tired and I just spent a few hours trying to sort out how to clean up the site.

ooc;; Whatever - I just don't really know what to do. I mean, I can't have my cats attack, there's only so many times you can take their thoughts around the "omg what the heck" circle, and I don't like Fang; I think he's just annoying because nobody can fight him and nobody can ... do anything about him. Does he contribute to teh plot in any way? DOes he.... idk. I'm tired and grumpy... Sorry.Someone tell me where this goes from here.

(( I knew I should've made Fang attack EmberClan instead. I'll make him leave once I have the time to make an actual in charactar post, now I'm busy. ))

ooc: No, don't be sorry... Here, I know how to solve this!
Ravensoul's tail thrashed in annoyance when he saw those long, venomous teeth sink into the fresh-kill - HIS fresh-kill. He was not pleased. And /nobody/ displeased Ravensoul and got away with it. His temper was rising, rising, boiling over; this was /his/ Clan, and /his/ territory, and he wasn't about to let Fang take it. Suddenly, with more epinephrine than he had ever felt before, he lunged. The fight was on.

ooc;; Yeah, attacking Ember would have presented almost exactly the same problems. Attacking ANYONE would have. And now what happens? "Ravensoul lunged ... the fight was on ... suddenly he gave a great shake and broke the little cat's back and the poor kitty was dead and all the snakes freaked out and ran away. The end." Something like that? Or does Fang manage to bite Raven and then he dies? And what about all the other snakies? Do they just sit there or do they attack everyone else? --sigh-- I know. I'm grumpy. I'm tired. I have more stuff to do than I want to have to handle, my grandma's unconscious in the hospital and nobody knows what happened to her, my mom's gone for a week, I just got over the flu and I keep having tummy trouble and then I have to decide whether the grossness of PeptoBismol is worth the not-entirely-reliable positive effects it might have, and ..... I'm tired. I'm sorry. Smokeh, tell me what to do and I'll get posting again. I'll fix the subboards. I'll finish cleaning up the MOTM thing, if you all want to call it done. Give me orders and I'll follow..... -helpless shrug- ...Humour me for a while, k?

ooc: Wow... I'm sorry... and I thought freaking out over finals was bad... )= *gives Causti hug* Ummm basically I was just going to fudge it for a while... try to keep some sort of roleplay going while we can... Mind you, there's no powerplaying, so nobody can ACTUALLY kill anybody without permission... and we're sort of lacking cats, so let's shoot for no StarClan kitties. Hows about we just fight for a while, finally somebody retreats, and we go on with our "I love her, I hate her" way of life? OR I can make a kit who conveniently comes out at just the wrong moment and... does something? That's the best I've got. Shall I? Give me the word, and I'll turn schizo on you all.

ooc;; Yeah it's alright. I can jump in with Jaded and Sinister I guess. A kit would be funny -- oh! You should totally make an apprentice for Sinister. That would be hilarious. I wonder - could Fang have recently passed by Phantom? Or not BY him, cause then Fang would be dead cause Phantom would kill him, but by where... he used to be recently? Or something? And Fang could make a few convienient comments... like, forshadowing? But not too much? That could at least be helpful to the general plot. Im waiting for Night to PM me back about stuff. I have to go to work so I can't write bic right now; I really gotta run. See what y'all think. Dang we need to do some recruiting! --OFF TO NEO!!!--- *leads charge*

ooc: Haha I MADE an apprentice indirectly for Sinister, but he just sat there for over a week and nobody even looked at him, so I deleted hiim. I'll see if I can work on one. *follows Causti, playing kazoo that random person gave me for Christmas* Wait... idea... what if I move Smokeleaf over here, but make her Smokepaw? She doesn't do anything in TimberClan, and since she's my namesake, I feel kind of obligated to use her...

ooc;; I like the Smokepaw idea, luv. Bring her in ... muahahaha and let - wait a sec. Are there female apprentices in Soot? .....I mean, Sinister would slash her to shreds.......?

ooc: Yeah, there are still female warriors/apprentices. They're not looked up to like the toms, but they still exist. Jadedtail, remember... and all warriors have to start somewhere. (= Besides, I don't know what else to do. I'll go start that now... Actually, I think Sinister would be perfect for her. She's a real timid character... think of it like Ravenpaw and Tigerclaw. He can be all evil to her, and she'll just be all quiet and scared... we'll make it work. Somehow. (=

ooc;; --cringes as allusion to the books whizzes harlmessly past head-- You forget, dearest, that I never actually read the books. Ah'm a bad lil kitty. Half of the first book, half of the second book - nyea, didn't like them. They ... honestly I thought they were boring. But I absolutely adore Warriors RP. So call me crazy. But I get the point. Sure, bring in Smokeh and I'll have Sinister work his magic on her..... Muahahaha OMG I JUST HAD A THOUGHT! I mean, it's kinda funny, but wouldn't it be hilarious if she had a crush on him? I mean, I think an apprentice having a crush on a mentor is just hilarious anyway, like a girl having a crush on her teacher or something - but it would be especially hilarious in SootClan, because he'd be all mean and hate her and stuff. ....just a thought. Doesn't have to go through. I'll post. =) Oh, and I'll bring Phantom in, if you still like that idea.
bic:: Sinistermask watched as his leader leapt forward, snarling, to attack the little snake-cat. Sinistermask didn't like the evil-smelling little repulsive ... thing to touch their food; at the same time, he truly dreaded attacking anything that had serpents under its command. But he followed his leader; all SootClan warriors followed their leader, no matter where he lead. It could be worse not to. So he leapt in as well, snarling and hissing and slashing almost blindly with his claws, expecting at any moment to feel the fiery pain of sharp fangs sinking into his flesh, feel the awful spread of poisonous venom through his veins.
Ravensoul and Sinistermask were both attacking the strange cats; Jadedtail hesitated a moment. She knew her role - she was a female, unworthy of life, really, and so she should have been the first to throw away life in an attempt to fight the adders and their disgusting leader away from her mate and their precious freshkill pile. But female or not, she held her own life rather more precious than did the toms around her; she didn't like the thought of some nasty little snake or snake-cat creature poisoning her. She could have accepted death in a fight for her clan; death at the sharp claws and teeth of another cat, after having fought a good, vicious fight worhty of remembering. Dying because she was bitten by some slithery thing that crawled on its belly in the dust and happened to have something lethal in its mouth - that was a much less appealing end. Still, she knew she ought to leap into the fray. Suddenly something else caught her eye, a dark shadow gliding through the grey landscape. Her nightmares flashed through her mind as she tried to watch it. It was a cat, she decided at last. A black cat, slipping along silently, nearly untraceably, except that if she kept her eyes focused a little to one side of it, she could detect the motion in her periphery. Something in the sight sent a cold chill through her, and she shuddered unexpectedly, trying to quell the irrational fear that began to expand inside her chest.

ooc: Sorry. )= Here comes Smokeh! Sorry if I ever write "Smokeleaf," I have to get used to this first. ...Crush, that's cute. I might have to try that. (= bic:
From the corner of his eye, Ravensoul saw his counterparts leap into battle. Good, he thought. Even in this strange situation, they remained loyal. Still, how could one fight a snake? He had gotten lucky and had chosen to take on the tom, but what about the others? Whenever they'd had adder attacks before, it was just on one cat, and they almost never survived. They'd never had a battle against anything but other cats; what could they do?
Smokepaw heard fighting. Her blue eyes fluttered open and her leaf-like ears snapped to attention. Had TimberClan attacked? No, that wasn't your typical caterwauling. Whose voices were those, carried on the ashen breeze? Ravensoul; that was clear. No cat could possibly forget his voice. The she-cat must be Jadedtail, for no other she-cat in camp had the courage to fight with the toms. The other voice was also familiar; Sinistermask, her mentor. How she loved her mentor. But, was that it? Only three cats, and yet, such fierce cries! SootClan needed help! What could she do, with her three governing bodies (leader, deputy, and mentor) in the frenzy? Well, she was only a she-cat; her life was dedicated to her Clan alone. She quickly found her feet and raced out of camp, into the battle. "What in the name...?" but she couldn't finish for the shock. Before her, in the clearing, were the three cats, just as she had expected. She silently congratulated herself, knowing her mentor didn't have the time to do so at this particular moment. He was in the mess of it all, attacking not TimberClan, but /snakes/. That's right. Snakes. Who was that other cat, in the battle, fighting Ravensoul? What a scrawny little thing; were they fighting both snakes and loners, at the same time? Suddenly, she noticed Jadedtail, still on the sidelines. The deputy was looking out into the trees, like there was something there... Smokepaw pushed the thought away and scrambled forward. "Jadedtail!" she called desperately. "What's happening?"

((OK I admit this is the shortest real post I ever made on VF)) Fang was tempted to dig into the cats' flesh with his fangs.. he tried, but he was injured badly and it was hard for him to move, so he commanded the snakes to surround the cats so they could not attack him. Fang lifted his long, mutated neck to see the cats' reactions.

ooc;; Ok I vote after we post a couple more times that the stupid snakies turn tail and run away. ...OR ... this would be way cool if Molten is ok with it; it would have to be her own post but it could be totally amazing and inspired ... the snakes could get mad at Fang for leading them into the danger of all the cats attacking, and turn on Fang and ... KILL HIM! ... ok, I know, your charrie would be gone - but it would be a way cool post..... bic:: The dark shadow-cat was still slipping along, circling nearer and nearer. Jadedtail tried to force herself to ignore it, to fight as she had been taught to - but the cold terror running icy fingers down her spine was distracting and singularly demanding. Besides- what could they do to fight snakes? Adder fights never went well. One cat attacked by an adder - that was typical. And they ended in death; the Flaming Eternal took them with the poison of the bite. That little scrap of a thing approaching - what was that? Smokepaw. Of course. The apprentice was almost amusingly devoted to her mentor and to the clan; and she was an alert little thing. She would have heard them, of course, and come to help. Jadedtail smiled in spite of herself as the small cat came panting up to ask what was happening. "We don't really know," she admitted to the apprentice. Deputies weren't really supposed to admit things like that to anyone, but she thought it was hardly fair to pretend that any of them had the faintest idea about their current situation; nobody had ever been in circumstances like this before. "Apparently the adders, led by that sort of cat-serpent-thing, are attacking for our freshkill. Ravensoul attacked first and we follow our leader." She hoped nothing would happen to the pretty young cat beside her; Jadedtail was strangely fond of her brother's apprentice. *** ooc;; I was going to post with Sinster and Phantom as well, but I haven't the time right now; so you can post and I'll post with them later or you can wait for me to post with them; it's up to you guys.
